If a temporary employee is injured on the job, is he entitled to worker's compensation?

I got a minor injury on the job lifting a fairly light piece of equipment. I had been lifting almost from the beginning of my assignment. Turns out the agency didn't know it. I thought they did. I'm a temp. It hasn't been a week and I'm getting better, but today the client--not the agency-- told me it was my last day. The client claims to have no use for me without the lifting, like it's the bulk of my work. Anyway, since I'm a temp, how do I continue my medical care if I need it? Do I sue the agency (who is supposedly trying to find me a new job) or the client or both? Is suing really necessary? If I accept a new position from the temp agency, how does that affect this whole thing?

call a workers comp lawyer...most will give u a free consult to tell u what ur rights are....

Yes you are entitled to workers comp. You should have filed an injury report with your employer. Go to the state employment division and ask to make a claim.

You should report the injury rite away.If you have any claim it falls in the hands of the temp agency.Good luck
