Aircraft mechanics are responsible for ensuring that planes are flying in top operating condition. They do this in a variety of ways: by performing scheduled maintenance, doing repairs, and conducting inspections as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Mechanics usually work in hangars although they are occasionally required to work outdoors. Ear protection is required due to noise and vibration when testing engines. There is frequent lifting of heavy objects and a good deal of awkward or precarious positioning required when working. Although a 40-hour work week is common, aircraft mechanics can frequently count on overtime and/or weekend work. The job can be somewhat stressful due to the high level of responsibility to maintain safety standards and the time pressure to meet flight schedules.
Education, Certification, Licensing
Due to the high degree of responsibility associated with the job, the FAA requires that all aircraft mechanics be certified. In order to become certified, a person needs 18 months of practical experience with either power plants or airframes; or (to earn a combined certification as both an airframe and a powerplant mechanic, known as an A&P certificate) 30 months of practical experience working on both at the same time. Completion of a program at an FAA-certified mechanic school can be substituted for the work experience requirement. Mechanics also must pass an exam for certification, which has a combination of written, oral, and practical test components. Once certified, mechanics must take at least 16 hours of training every two years to keep their certificate current. There are presently about 170 schools certified by the FAA. Coursework normally lasts from 18 to 24 months and the schools are required by law to offer students a minimum of 1,900 class hours. Many of these schools award 2-year and 4-year degrees in avionics, aviation technology, or aviation maintenance management. Courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, electronics, computer science, and mechanical drawing are helpful because knowledge of the principles taught in these subjects is often needed to make repairs. A strong background in electronics is especially important. Courses that develop writing skills are also valuable due to the fact that mechanics need to submit reports on the maintenance and repair work they perform. In addition to the educational and experience requirements, mechanics must be able to read, write, and understand English in order to become certified. Those who wish to work for an airline should also be aware that most airlines require their mechanics to have a high school diploma and an A&P certificate.

Is success some elusive and abstract concept? Or is it mathematical and physical? This article will attempt to explain success mathematically and physically. Then after reading this article, you be the judge. Many people don’t associate mathematics and physics with human thoughts, behavior, and life. However, mathematics and physics were created to help us understand reality – including human thoughts, behavior, and life.
The Pythagorean Theorem
The Pythagorean Theorem, a Masonic symbol, teaches Masons to be general lovers of the arts and sciences.
The Pythagorean Theorem states that given a right triangle, the hypotenuse’s length squared = a leg’s length squared + the other leg’s length squared. The legs form an L-shaped 90 degree angle, while the hypotenuse slopes from the top of the L to the tail end of the L.
The Pythagorean Theorem is art, in that it deals with shapes; it is science, in that it is mathematical. Shapely and mathematically, this theorem explains success. Success shapely forms a triangular path: successfully thinking to behaving, behaving to living, and living to thinking. Success mathematically fits the Pythagorean Theorem: successfully thinking to behaving squared + successfully behaving to living squared = successfully living to thinking squared.
Given this Pythagorean Success Theorem, the more successful you are in thinking behaviorally or behaving lively, the more successful you are in living thoughtfully.
Now that you see that there is a triangular relationship between thinking, behaving, and living, the next section will discuss negative things that can affect this relationship.
The Spade
The Spade, a Masonic symbol, means to remove the rubbish of vice and ignorance.
Vices are habits that negatively affect your life. Examples can be laziness, rashness, and lust. Ignorance is not knowing how to accomplish something. An example can be driving to a new destination without knowing the directions.
Vices: A lazy person, acting too slowly, cannot succeed. This person acts too late. He never seems to catch up. A rash person, acting too quickly, cannot succeed. This person acts, making many serious mistakes. So instead of saving time, he wastes time. A lustful person, pleasuring himself often, cannot succeed. This person’s actions are often unrelated to his goal. He pursues pleasure more than purpose.
Ignorance: An ignorant person, not knowing what to do, cannot succeed. Can you imagine a builder building without a blueprint, an aviator aviating without air-navigating devices, or a sailor sailing without sea-navigating devices? To be ignorant is to be lost.
Removal: To remove vice and ignorance, you must have self-control and knowledge. Controlling yourself, you control your destiny. Knowing your trade, you knowingly accomplish your goals.
Now that you see that ignorant thoughts or vice-filled behavior can be detrimental to your success in life, let’s move on to the next section, explaining success via physics.
The Mirror
In physics, Newton’s third law of motion and Einstein’s general theory of relativity are important. Since physics is the science of reality, we can use the law and theory to explain success or failure in human life.
Newton’s third law of motion states that for every action there is an equal reaction. In other words, if you do good to others, others will do good to you. And if you do evil to others, others will do evil to you.
Einstein’s general theory of relativity states that mass distorts space, creating gravity. So the more massive an object is, the more it distorts space, creating stronger gravity. And the less massive an object is, the less it distorts space, creating weaker gravity. In other words, the more massive your actions are, the stronger consequences gravitate toward you. And the less massive your actions are, the weaker consequences gravitate toward you.
Combining Newton’s law and Einstein’s theory, the more good you do to others, the stronger good gravitates toward you. And the less good you do to others, the weaker good gravitates toward you. Contrastively, the more evil you do to others, the stronger evil gravitates toward you. And the less evil you do to others, the weaker evil gravitates toward you.
Life is The Mirror.
Summary
According to this article, it appears that success can be explained via mathematics and physics. From a mathematical standpoint, since the components of success (thoughts, behavior, and life) are triangularly related, they can fit into the triangular format of the Pythagorean Theorem. From the standpoint of physics, since how you treat others affects how they treat you, and larger actions produce larger results, these actions of success can fit into Newton’s third law of motion and Einstein’s general theory of relativity.

It’s an observable fact that the sunglasses have become a necessity. Generally people us it to protect there eyes from the harmful UV rays, but now the uses has been increased as it is also been used for hiding ones identity, generally done by the celebrities. It is also been used by the motorcyclist to protect these eyes from the heavy wind, dust and flying insects while riding motorcycle. Fisher men use sunglasses to reduce the glare of the sun, and to see the fishes clearly within the water. Above all these user and uses there is one more segment of user and uses, and that is the Military, Law Enforcement Agent and Army Air Corps, for who eye protection is must. As they face such situation where there is so much of dust, ballistic material, etc. which may cause hindrance in there operation. Here we will be talking about the eye protection of the US Military, Law Enforcement Agent and Army Air Corps. Do you know that the soldiers have the high number of risk of damaging their eyesight during the combat operations and training exercises. The studies done on the wounds in Iraq, which pointed out that the sixteen percent of casualties among soldiers, involve eye injuries. The most dangerous hazard to the eyes of the US Military & Law Enforcement Agent is the flying shrapnel from enemy weapon blasts, and other dangers to the eyes are sand, dust, debris (from helicopters, high winds, or explosive overpressure), flash fires, and lasers. Coming to the Army Air Corps, they need protection from the dangers of high-altitude glare and this was solved by the company named Ray-Ban, who produced sunglasses especially for the Army and Navy. These Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses covered the eye socket, and had the dark lenses which were often reflective. During the recent war with Iraq it was found through the media coverage that the US troops in the field, both marine and army use of Oakley sunglasses, goggles and boots. Now there are more protective lenses in compare to the previous days. Troops will have interchangeable lenses for both goggles and spectacles. The new sunglasses are lightweight but made up of tough polycarbonate lenses. These eye wear meet the American National Standards Institute requirements for occupational eye and face protection. Now the eyes of our US Military, Law Enforcement Agent and Army Air Corps are more protected from the entire dangerous hazard.

Sunglasses have always been an essential part of us for a long time. But nowadays women have started wearing sunglasses as a fashion accessory. Sunglasses are now becoming very popular among the younger generation and a pair of aviator sunglasses has become a compulsory part of the closet of every woman. Aviator sunglasses have become so famous today thanks to the fashion trends of the 1970s, which has caught on with the current generation. Sunglasses became very popular in the 1980s when Tom Cruise sported them in ‘Top Gun’. Since then sunglasses have become a means of looking fashionable among both men and women. Men have a tendency to lean towards police sunglasses, latest trend sunglasses and polarized sunglasses. A new range of sunglasses has been started specifically for women. Aviator sunglasses have also become very popular among people who work in the armed forces or in law enforcement.
Aviator sunglasses for women are not very heavy and they are also very strong and will not break very easily. Oval polycarbonate lenses are used in making these sunglasses and they are used in different colors. Lighter sunglasses are made using polycarbonate lenses, which are made of plastic. This will help the person in wearing the sunglasses for a longer period of time without experiencing any kind of discomfort. The most fast moving color among women’s aviator glasses is the silver mirrored police lens, which has the gun- colored lenses behind it. Brown, charcoal, bluish grey and smoke colored lenses are some of the other popular colors among women’s aviators. The lenses that are used in making these sunglasses have UV400 maximum protection, which will protect the eyes from UVA and UVB rays. Most of these aviator sunglasses have spring temples and nickel frames. But sunglasses for women have good quality poly frames and the shades come in different colors. These poly frames are light frames and they are the best option for people who are looking for light sunglasses.
Aviator sunglasses for women help in protecting their eyes completely from UV rays, dust particles and also the wind. These sunglasses are sometimes very necessary and many women all over the world have started wearing sunglasses and making a very bold fashion statement. Many women wear aviator sunglasses because they feel that it makes them different and it makes them a noticeable face in the crowd of faceless people.

In the hours and days immediately following the tragic attacks on America of 9/11, there was much speculation about the effects on the general aviation industry. While the events of September 11, 2001 have had a significant impact on the economy as a whole, sales of personal aircraft in Michigan have experienced a surprising boost. Certainly, the convenience of personal transportation has played a major role in this increase as airport lines and security have become more time consuming. The reduction of flights resulting from the airline cost-cutting have limited flexibility for the business person and affected the productivity of companies relying on commercial transportation. These factors alone can’t explain surge of people joining the flying community for more than just pleasure. Rebates, low and 0% interest rates, training allowances, and yes, even the IRS played a role in creating an environment that has introduced more people to the benefits of aircraft ownership and had an effect similar to that seen after the passage of the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1995. The IRS is here to help you? Well, believe it or not, a new tax law passed earlier this year represents a renewed attempt by our nation’s leaders to jumpstart the economic recovery. The bill applies to new airplanes acquired after September 10, 2001, and before September 11, 2004, and provides tax savings from economic stimulus provisions included in the Internal Revenue Code designed to encourage investment in capital assets. Visit your local airport and you’re sure to see plenty of forty and fifty year old aircraft operating for both business and pleasure. Even prior to the new tax law, Congress recognized that capital investment is an important part of our economy, and therefore allowed a five year depreciation of these assets. To further encourage investments, they do not require the depreciation to be spread evenly over the five years, but through a concept know as ‘double declining balance,’ greatly accelerate depreciation during the first two years of ownership. Now with the additional incentives of 30% bonus depreciation on new airplanes, tax deferral opportunities are greatly expanded. So how might a business person benefit from these new changes? First of all, the impact of these depreciation changes greatly reduce net cash investment for the purchase of a new airplane. Specifically, an operator in the 40% tax bracket who can successfully write off his aircraft ownership expense may have no cash investment in the airplane during the first four years. Additionally, when properly structured, many taxpayers have an opportunity to convert personal use into business use. The Internal revenue code provides an optional method of taxing an individual for personal use of an aircraft which many times amounts to less than 10% of the actual deductions flowing from the investment. Consult your tax professional prior to purchasing your new airplane or ask your Aircraft Dealer for the name of an Aviation Tax Specialist to set up your purchasing entity. And you say you’re not a pilot? Local aircraft dealers like Suburban Aviation, Inc. in Lambertville, Michigan will actually teach you to fly your new airplane and even reimburse your expenses when you purchase a new Cessna airplane from them. Most of today’s pilots learned to fly in a Cessna airplane and the majority of these pilots continue to experience the freedom and flexibility that flight offers in one of Cessna’s many single engine models. For 75 years, Cessna has been the leader in general aviation aircraft providing a safe and reliable alternative to commercial airlines and the automobile. So if your business can benefit from improved efficiency and tax savings, why not consider a company airplane? There are few tax saving opportunities as effective as fully depreciating an aircraft on a five year accelerated basis, and with today’s interest rate environment, a well-structured transaction often results in little or no after tax cash flow holding costs during the early years of ownership. Of course, arriving at your meeting on time and with all your luggage can also be pretty convincing!

The benefits of LASIK eye surgery are so many that you may not want to wear your spectacles anymore. Before you take an appointment with the surgeon, let’s tell you more about these benefits.
This is one of the most wonderful benefits of laser eye surgery. The patients’ vision improves significantly within minutes of the surgery! Although it takes about 6 months to obtain perfect visual acuity, during the follow-up eye examination, the patients usually show almost perfect vision. The eye check-up is done a day after the surgery. You’re gonna throw away your spectacles or contact lenses immediately after LASIK surgery!
For those who have been wearing spectacles or contacts for many years, it has become a way of life. However, deep inside their heart, they still wish for a life without spectacles. LASIK eye surgery fulfills your wish.
After this surgery, you need not worry about the daily chore of cleaning your contacts, wearing them, and taking care of them. You need not worry about your eyes getting too dry to let your contacts fall off. You can even wear your eye make-up without the fear of it irritating your eyes and damaging your contacts. Great!
You get freedom from the daily contact lens care, purchase of solutions, creating space for the bulky spectacle case or solution bottle in your baggage while traveling, and other such sort of cumbersome processes. And don’t forget the amount of money you’ve been spending till now in buying those solutions and changing your contacts every 6 months, or in getting your choice spectacles. And if you have a habit of wearing disposable contacts, you really need to think seriously about laser surgery. You can’t go on spending dollars on these expensive pair of “polymer eyes.”
This is one of the biggest things that can happen to a patient opting for vision correction the laser way. The level of self-confidence can alter your life. There are many people who hate their specs hanging over their noses. Everyday, they drag themselves to the office or marketplace with a stooping self-esteem. How do they look? What will people think about their appearance? Are they attractive enough in specs?
Thanks to laser surgery, tens of thousands of patients have got back their lost self-esteem. And this is especially true for patients with disoriented vision. They used to find it hard to move around in dimly lit restaurants and clubs, or even approach that sexy blonde on the dance floor. How embarrassing it is to topple over a chair or slip down the stairs due to disoriented vision! With eye surgery, your social life gets a new high.
Would you ever think of skydiving, kayaking, swimming, or playing rugby with your specs on? And what about those who dream to build a career in aviation, law enforcement, and other such fields?
Had it not been for the benefits of LASIK eye surgery, they would be picking up the shattered pieces of their dreams with long faces!
As you can see, there are many benefits to having
LASIK eye surgery. As with any medical surgery, consult your eye doctor prior to considering the
LASIK procedure. He or she will be able to explain the risk and advantages to you in a personalized manner.

Finding the right Florida attorney can be a confusing and time consuming process that can ultimately determine the success or failure of your court proceedings. In order to increase the likelihood of a legal victory it is important to identify your particular legal needs, decide upon a lawyer that you trust and that specializes in the correct legal field, and finally to negotiate appropriate legal fees if a verdict is rendered. The process is further complicated in a populous state such as Florida because of its dense population, changing demographics, and complicated legal regulations.
Before determining what type of attorney best suits your legal needs, it is important to correctly identify your particular legal situation. Are you fighting a traffic ticket, filing a lawsuit, or defending a criminal charge? There are literally hundreds of different legal specialties so it is important to limit your search for an attorney to only those specialties that apply to your particular need. You would not, for example, want to hire a divorce lawyer if you are fighting a traffic ticket. Most court clerks will be able to help you classify your legal problem by the typical legal fields (for example divorce court, traffic court, aviation law, or securities law). Using this information will help you identify and classify your particular problem.
Once you have ascertained the legal field in which you need advice, the next step is finding a Florida attorney that you both trust and have confidence in. By attaining a lawyer that is not familiar with your legal problem, you can hurt your chances for success and also cost yourself more money. A lawyer that is not comfortable in a particular field usually charges more for legal advice that may or may not be as sound as advice from someone more specialized. Therefore, for a successful legal conclusion, you must find the appropriate attorney.
The internet is a great resource for finding specialized lawyers in the Florida area. However, do not necessarily trust private web pages. They are not fact checked and are prone to hubris. Instead, use the sites to find names of prominent attorneys and then crosscheck those names with the Florida bar association or better business bureau for more factual and statistical information.
In many cases you will find that there are several attorneys in your needed field with credible credentials and strong resumes. When this happens it is important to choose a lawyer who you feel most comfortable with. Depending on the type of case that is before you, you may have to have some very personal conversations with your lawyer. These can include some very embarrassing information and very private financial transactions. You want to make sure that your private information stays private. Also the legal market is a fluid one. Prices are not posted like they are in a grocery store. One lawyer might charge double what another lawyer charges for the same service. Shop around, ask friends for references, and ultimately rely on your best judgement.
Florida presents a unique problem for identifying the correct attorney that suits a specific need. However, by correctly identifying your legal needs, researching the credentials of the lawyers, and ultimately finding someone you trust, you can assure a successful legal outcome.
