Should we ban the sale of Nazi memorabilia?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/74873...

The sale of memorabilia from an infamous Nazi unit which killed almost 100 British prisoners of war has been branded a "disgrace" by a war veteran.

If not in all cases, then just this one.

No.

Many Regimental museums have Nazi regalia/memorabilia in their collections. As this is a dark part of their history, I find it strange that the Royal Norfolk Regiment don`t acquire these emblems to reinforce that part of their history.

Great Idea! NOT... Then if liberals or NeoCons gain an edge one will start banning the other. No one likes it, but it's still protected from being banned by government. And even though Nazi's should be shot on sight they have a right to spread the hate according to he 1st amendment.

A ban is pure silliness. First, Nazi items will be bought and sold anyway; the transactions simply move underground and the taxable revenue is lost and; second, the prices are driven higher as a function of both scarcity and risk.

Where does it end? First you ban this sale, then you ban the discussion of the nazis, then what? Who decides what to ban and when, very slippery slope.....

I know where you are coming from with this question! The regiment where most of those British lads were shot came from the Royal Warwichshire Regiment! You just cannot ban Nazi memorabillia just like that! Why?They would find a loophole around it!

ugly as it is, who has the right to ban anything? too much power given to the wrong people, which is what is going on now, allows freaks to do this kind of stuff...as in banning things.

History does have to be preserved and remembered no matter how bad it is to prevent it from happening again

No banning things like this is the thin end of the wedge. Where does it stop?.
