Who should I contact to help a U.S. Veteran who has been been taken advantage of by a local car dealer? |
My neighbor, a VA patient, traded his truck and $200-$300 for a car that the dealer sold knowingly with a junk title and now the dealer says he is having trouble getting the title. In meantime, the neighbor can't register the car to be driven. What should or can be done to the car dealer who took advantage of a Vet who has mental problems to begin with? Also, as well as above, call legal aid. If your neighbor is not competent, then the contract can be rescinded, and he can get his money back. You or you neighbor can call the Attorney Generals office for your state and report the individual and dealership. Call the press. Also try the Better Business Bureau. |
