Can we trust even our police force anymore???

i recently saw a video where a man was held up for 15 minuites for speeding, while his dog lay dying in the car. the man was flipping out and crying, and the police officer was like "are you on something?are you bipolar?" what the ****!! his dog was DYING and he was being held up by a police officer who basically lectured him on why his dog didnt matter, and he was a fool! BULL ****! who the hell let him join the police force?????you could hear the mans wife crying and screaming from the car! " hes not gonna make it! oh my god hes not gonna make it!! please....!!!!! " i dont understand! it was like a horror movie, but it was real! what is happening to our police????????

I know it was dangerous to drive that fast, but what else could the guy do ??? if the god dam mother ******* *** hole imbisults that we call emergency responders would come, he wouldnt have had to speed!!!! what else would you do if there was someone dying in your car, and you were the only one who could get them help? speeding is wrong, but there was their only hope!

You got to understand that there were other HUMAN lives on the road and driving over 100mph could have caused much more damage to them than the dog. The police serve the humans and not animals. A human's life is more worth than an animals.

A simple solution to your whinning ignorant question. The next time you need help dont call the police since you can't trust them. I've seen the video you are talking about and ya the officer was in the wrong in what he said that was uncalled for but the driver seriously did need to slow down. A few bad apples yes but not all are bad. Find help some other way since you can't trust them call a criminal next time.

I don't know what video you saw or whatever, but Yes TRUST the police, they are not all bad. People get the impression that ALL Police Officers are power hungry abusers of there power, which is not true, there is some bad apples like 1 out of 100. I don't know of any officer who would do that, but there are some out there.

Overall, yes you can trust us.

WEll, no. People put them on a high horse like they are GOD. They chose that profession, so when they get shot, they don't deserve a damm parade. I know all cops are not bad, but there are so many bad ones that I don't trust them at all. Its sad that I was raised to respect them , like everyone else, but I refuse to now. And it doesn't matter if it was JUST a dog. SO what?

I'm a huge dog lover and to hear this pisses me off....

I hope they sue the ******* department. That is ridiculous and to the person who said that the cop was trying to save the lives of other drivers.... Well he could have gave them a escort or drove the dog to the vet himself.

Like the above user said I don't trust ANYONE in authority anymore, just can't afford too. If cops are so just and righteous then why does the majority of people hate them?

"You got to understand that there were other HUMAN lives on the road "

whoever said that, your pretty much stupid. obviously this was a dog he loved like family. how would you feel if your mom was dying? i think its stupid that because it isnt human its not as important.

and yeah, a lot of police are just power hungry

To some extent I do but not completely. I also dont trust any other authority figure completely. ultimately all are human and have their own motivations.

that being said police would be more trustworthy if I knew that ones seen abusing their authority would be held accountable.

I hate the police they mess with me all the time, but you have to realize that not all the police are bad just some are *****

It is hard to judge without knowing the whole story. The driver could have been endangering human lives for the sake of his dog.
Police used to have a lot of bully-type officers that liked to hit people with their billy clubs, but most police officers now days are fair-minded and respectful, even of the people they arrest. They are trained to address everyone as sir or ma'am.
I've never been treated with disrespect when stopped by a policeman for a traffic violation. I've even weaseled my way out of a ticket a time or two.
Once I got a ticket and the officer later realized he had made a mistake and would not testify against me so the judge dismissed the case.

I saw that too. Here's the other side of that one- the guy was doing 100 mph and weaving through traffic, and he got stopped. Yes, the poodle (not a child, ok, a poodle) was dying, but he could have killed several people driving like that. Not an even trade, I'm sorry. I love animals and my dogs but I'd still be on the hook if I drove like that, and had I pulled him over I'm not sure I would have done any different. Someone's family could have died over this guy's decision to drive like a maniac.
