SC laws on prostitution? |
I need some information on what it takes to legally charge a male with a prostitution charge. There was no money that exchanged hands, no talk of a sexual act being performed, no sex act taking place when officer pulled vehicle over. Then i later found out there are 2 other vehicles (same make and model as mine) impounded the very same day and the other 2 drivers were charged with the same crime. No i was not picking up a prostitute, no i was not intending to have any sexual contact with this female at all. I was being a nice guy and giving her a ride to her home (she lives about 2 miles from me) after her car had broken down at a restaurant and she couldn't get in touch with anyone else to come pick her up. I have been very happily involved with a lady for over a year now and thankfully she is strong in her trust and in her love for me but this has got to be a joke even in SC. You really need to consult an attorney for any case involving a criminal charge. Even reading the statutes themselves won't inform you adequately. |
