Should judge have freed Jack Abramoff?

The political lobbyist just now received a 4 year sentence for whatever scandal he was involved in, and the judge said he had "shaken the people's trust in government."

If he did the latter (i.e., caused folks to have less faith in government), then did he not do a service for the People, in a sense?

Perhaps the judge should have said, "you have committed a crime which warrants a 4-year prison sentence, however, due to your service in alerting people of why they should distrust government, your sentence will be laid aside. It is important for people not to trust the federal government."

Agree?

Abramoff is one of the worse scumbags out there. He basically created labor camps in the Pacific Islands where he made Chinese women work in sweat shops and forced them into forced prostitution. This guy is practically a war criminal.

If they threw him to sharks alive, they would be going too light on him.

We should always question the government, because they represent us, But we have to put trust in the ones we elect. If they displease us, we can vote them out. Judges are notorious for messing with the law and rewriting a few of their own.I say don't trust the judges, and never re elect them.

No. That is absurd.

No, I think he should be sitting in a cell.
