Can an employer adjust your timesheet without your knowledge? |
I鈥檓 a service tech on the road and my employer may send me on a service call 3 hr drive about 200 miles +. I entered a drive time on my time sheet and he removed it without my knowledge. I only fond out because I wanted to check something on it He has known Idea I found out. I also checked older time sheets with the same results. Is this legal in California. no it is not legal, you are doing work he is not wanting to pay you for. It's certainly unethical! I remember a boss I had several years ago was fired for the same thing, but he was never legally charged. You'll have to look up worker's rights in your state. Sorry I can't give you a more specific answer! You may want to contact the Labor Board...or its equivalent and ask them. Try using the word "falsify" and see if that makes the issue clearer. |
