I am tired of our tech department reading our faculty email at ourpublic school. Are there any legal options?

Or at least can you think of a way to annoy these techs (without me getting in trouble)?

We write a emails to each other, and the techs refer to them in conversations! They are not only reading our email, but using the information. It is allowable by school policy, but this is insane. We are working for the government - does the 4th amendment apply to technology departments of school district? There is no privacy at all, and teachers and administration depend on email to communicate.

You should never consider email to be private. Because it's not, especially in a school network. Your only legal option that I see is to change the school policy.

stop using the schools equipment, the schools network, it's considered school property not yours.
