What is the statute of limitation for tax evasion? |
If I didn't declare something on my 2000 tax returns (hypothetically, of course), how long would it take before I could "brag" about it, and not be afriad of being prosecuted? There is a 3 year limit on auditing and a 10 year limit on collecting. The 3 year limit does not apply if you filed your taxes fraudulently with the intent to evade paying taxes. In that case, the 10 year limit would apply. There is none, if they find out they will chase you forever. None! Sorry they going to get you eventually. Never |
