Why is that Legal Immigrants in US are not allowed to vote?

They do pay taxes, and serve the community. Where is the so called "freedom and democracy" and what about "No taxation without representation"

That is because voting is a right reserved for citizens. Legal immigrants are guests to the society. Among other things, legal immigrants can be asked and ordered to leave any time if congress so declares. Once someone is a citizen, this is no longer true.

Those who would like the full privilege will opt for citizenship.

I am a legal immigrant with a non American citizen ship. I would assume that it is the problem with being still very influenced about your home. If someone would tell me to go and fight my own home country, I would never do it. I believe that they are just being careful about immigrants not influencing the elections to their countries advantage.

LEGALS can vote, after they get citizenship, but they have to go thru the registration process, just like every body else, in order to vote.

All they have to do is fill out the form and show up at the polls.

NO country allows non-citizens to vote, regardless of how much taxes they pay. It's all part of the process.

Voting is for citizens. If they want representation, they can become citizens or go back to their own countries.
