Does an alley keep property from being considered adjacent? |
I live in a small central Illinois village. I would like to purchase the vacant lot next to me. Between the two properties is an undeveloped alley. It shows up on the subdivision plot but has not been developed since the houses were built in the 1920's. Would this alley keep me from being able to bring the properties under one title and tax bill? I'm a land surveyor , and the answer is no . But you need to look up the codes in your state & city ( village ). Go to a city hall -- BLM office -- title co. they might help======= good luck |
