After someone is sentenced to death, rather than wasting the Peoples tax dollars on prolonging life, should? |
execution be handed out immediately, and would it make sense to do so publicly? And would asking for volunteers to carry out the sentence be a good idea rather than wasting tax payers money??? Perhaps simply allow for a mob to lynch them? Reuse the rope? I think the convict should have the exact same rights as the murdered victim does. Absolutely not! If it is absolutely proven, not just hear say or maybe then yes but by the government not the public..and I also feel it should be proven in court with total proof,, not like allot of case's that are to questionable money isn't more important then due process of law Republican, aren't you? There should be no death penalty. There have been too many cases of innocent people being wrongfully convicted, so no matter how heinous the crime, we can't afford to take the chance that the jury was wrong. If we murder the criminals, it would make us no better than them anyways. What has happened tonight? Full moon? No lynching! The legal process should be followed from the court room to the place of execution. Execution is not a murder. It is a legal punishment for a prooven crime. What if the guy is innocent but he was executed right away with no chance to appeal? Watch the film "The Life of David Gale" and you'll change your mind. I agree with you in the carrying out the sentence immediately; yet we need to be very sure (sorry to those who say, Well some innocent people will get executed - yes they will and some guilty will not - that is an unfortunate reality) there needs to be a very strong case for the death penalty as opposed to "Life without parole!" stupid question |
