Ineligible for sportsss! what should i do? |
so our school has a rule that you cannot play with 2 F's or more, and if you have 1 F, you can use a waiver which takes it away. I tried out for my school sport without knowing i was ineligible and had to pay over $500 to make the school team. I was voted captain etc, but a couple weeks ago, i found out that im ineligible to play cause i had 2 F's. I don't think that its fair that right when i pay over $500, i get told i cant play cause i had 2F's. And apparently a couple years ago, a girl was in the same situation but she was allowed to play. I already asked all the counselors and sports directors and they said no. What should i tell them? i reallyyy need to play! i dont wanna waste over $500 for just trying out and saying i would have made the team but now i cant play. I agree with the last post. I would also add that you should definately ask for your money back from the tryouts. The coaches should have already checked the eligibility of the students prior to tryouts, thus saving your time and money and their time as well. Do you realize that only the top 1% ( for you that is 1 out of every 100) of athletes in high school actually make a living doing sports. So schools are not so concerned about sports. It is a privilege to play sports and you have to earn the privilege. Schools do not want to send dumb athletes into the world. They want to send educated people into the world. Schools in general are looking out for your future. So study hard. And fair or not play by the rules. wanna play get your grades up |
