Last 4 of your social security number cause Idenity theft?

I keep being asked for my full name and the last 4 of my social for all these job hunters. Is there a way that giving out my full name and the last 4 of my social to all these people can cause me to be a victim to Identity Theft? I have also had people posting on monster telling me if I don't give my full social then I can not apply... Does that sound like a scam?

You do not need to give your Social Security number to a prospective employer unless you are hired.

If you are looking to protect yourself from Identity Theft and need piece of mind, please click the link below and watch a movie on getting the coverage you need. This is the only company and product out there that RESTORES your good name, in the event your ID is stolen!

only if someone figures out that the last four is part of your SSN

Never give all social security numbers to anyone.
