They don't care what's a Little nastiness on your hands to steal all the money someone earned over a life time. I would say shred it.

The average person wouldn't dig through poop for personal information, but then there's the few that would.

I think if someone is willing to commit identlty theft than the conditions don't really matter. I would be destroying any information that you are putting into the trash that any random person can have access to.

Im sure if someone wants to steal your identity then they will have no problem digging through spoiled food. Then they will take your card and live it up!
