What do you consider sexual harassment from your boss in the workplace? |
what is the most subtle forms of sexual harassment. I think I am being harassed... but it's not in an aggressive way... Sexual harassment in the workplace can be nearly anything or a sexual nature that makes you feel uncomfortable. This includes telling dirty jokes within your earshot, hanging up racy or suggestive pictures, commenting on your physical appearance. Sometimes flirting can cross the line and be considered sexual harassment especially if it's coming from the boss or supervisor. Harassment refers to a wide spectrum of offensive behavior. When the term is used in a legal sense it refers to behaviors that are found threatening or disturbing, and beyond those that are sanctioned by society. Sexual harassment refers to persistent and unwanted sexual advances, typically in the workplace, where the consequences of refusing are potentially very disadvantageous to the victim. Off color jokes and unwelcomed behavior such as unwelcomed touching are often overlooked. If you don't make it clear that the behavior is unwelcomed,more than likely is to escalate into a more serious situation in which you'll probably end up looking as an instigator. I'm not asking you to be an *** about it,but to be firm and set boundaries and let your coworker know that is for the better good. If the behavior continues and no one in the company takes action,then you should sue. Well, I'll tell you what really boils my blood and that's when we're alone in the elevator together and he comments on my chest! Once he even reached over and squeezed one and then had the gall to say "Geez, they ARE real!" What a bum! When a superior gets sex from an underling; like maybe the President is getting it on with an intern. I think sexual harrassment is when someone asks you to perform sexual acts more than once. when he makes u uncomfortable. like asking for sexual relations |
