Is this sexual harassment..?

Today at school, this boy was messing with me (we're cool with each other and we're also friends) but he took it too far in art class. I was doing my work and not bothering anyone and he came over and jerked my purse out from my hand and took my cell phone out without asking and i was starting to get pissed cuz i didnt do anything to him.

then i politely told him to give it back before i slap him, then he said "you c*nt, i'm not giving you your dumba$$ cell phone back unless you say plz". At tha point, I was getting ready to punch him cuz i find the word c*nt very degrading. then my art teacher stopped me by literally grabbing my arm harshly and pulled me aside, then screamed at me!!! wtf? i didnt do anything, the boy should ge tpunished. yes, my art teacher is a man. he's 28 years old and i was gettin ready to slap the sh*t outta him. is tha sexual harrssment?

What makes you feel you can just haul off and slap someone?? Sexual harrassment not a chance.. but maybe he can get you for assault if you actually did slap him! Maybe you should adjust your attitude and stop feeling like you have a right to slap someone when you don't like what is done to you.. Maybe this is how you were raised to feel free to slap someone who irrates you but in the real world thats assault.. YOUR parents should have taught you that a long time ago but obviously they didn't.

And by your added comments I would say you have a real attitude problem.. Kids with attitudes rarely get a fair shake from anyone and thats your own doing, so either change your attitude or deal with the consequences.. But don't expect to get a fair shake from someone in authority as you created, by your attitude, the way other people see you .

WOW, want a childish little rant you had. You admitted you were planning on attacking the boy. The threat of physical violence against another is called assault. The actual application of the violence is battery. You assaulted the boy, you did not commit battery. Report It

What the.....????? Are you serious?? You actually think what happened may be sexual harassment? I really like the part where you "politely" told him to give it back before you slapped him. I would hate to see you not being polite. Maybe you should take a course on what constitutes as sexual harassment so when you grow up and join the working world, you wont charge some poor shlub with it for patting you on the back for doing a good job.

"Is this sexual harassment? - Not on the part of the teacher. While the boy did take something that was not his, you threatened to use violence to resolve the issue. The boy was wrong, but you were even more so.

I don't think that would constitute sexual harassment, but what he did was EXTREMELY disrespectful to you and you did not deserve to be punished either. If anything, you may have to tell the principal about this unless he is a ******* idiot like your teacher and the guy that insulted you.

Unfortunately, this happens often. One kid will annoy the living hell out of another kid and when the victim finally decides to put a stop to it, the teacher ignores the antagonizer and punishes the kid who was fighting back; sounds like he wasn't paying attention to what was going on.

Its not, but u should complain to the school administration about the boy's behaviour and also mention the poor judgement of the teacher.

No this isn't sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is defined as:

Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individuals employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.

The friend is out of line by taking your cell, and the teacher seems to be a little bit freaked out. Perhaps he didn't understand the situation. I suggest if you want to take this further talk to the teacher and then Principal.
