Unison rep sexually harassed a female Council worker.....? |
There have been a number of compliants againt him including a sexual harassment complaint by a female worker. I have been told the Council settled the matter outside of tribunal and paid the female worker compensation but he is still in his job. The Unson is aware of this matter and senior management is doing nothing about it. The problem is that you are not privy to the findings of the tribunal in question and dont know what action was recorded. In most disputes of this nature its more than likely both parties had to sign a confidentiality agreement and the finding.agreements are not made public in these type of cases. go higher up the union, branch manager etc. or the head office Sounds like corruption and abuse of power. Happened in a communist state, right? A Union is supposed to represent its members wishes and interests. If it is failing to as you clearly indicate Unison is at your workplace, you have no obligation to continue to belong to them or pay them a membership fee. |
