Is rape illegal in Saskatchewan?

A US friend was wondering about the laws of sexual harassment/rape in my province, but I am not educated on these laws. Can someone explain to me if there are any laws against rape in Saskatchewan, and if so what the consequences may be?

Rape is illegal in every civilized nation on the planet.

There are several nations that are not civilized, especially with respect to men treatment of women.

Canada is civilized.

Rape is defined as carnal knowlege without the permission of the other party. The law also says that children cannot give permission for this.

If convicted, the offender usually gets several years in jail. Except in the USA if the offender is a woman who looks attractive, such as some recent lady teachers who like to have sex with young boy students.

Sexual harrassment is not rape.

The Criminal Code of Canada, which covers all Canadian province and territories, deals with what it calls, "sexual assault" and "aggravated sexual assault". Do a search using those terms.

illegal everywhere.
i would like to kill and torture every rapist/sexual abuser/molester one day.
its so horrible, it ruins peoples lives

Yes, the same as the rest of Canada!

LOL! You've got to be kidding me. There is NOWHERE in any civilized, Western country that doesn't have rape laws. Yes, Saskatchewan has rape laws. Don't do it, or go to prison. It's that simple.

i think that's in canada... last i heard its illeagal to rape in most places.

There are no harassment/rape laws in Saskatchewan. It's a normal thing for people to do there.

rofl this question is hilarious! but i honestly have no clue.... i doubt that rape would be legal ANYwhere....

Let him figure this one out by himself. He is a rapist.

Yes. The penalty is castration by polar bear.

If its not then it should be.
Who cares what the law says.... my moral, my conscious would never agree to it.

yes htere are laws like that here , i wouldnt know the time you do but it is alot. if he is wanting to pae someone tell him to do it at home, we dont need anymore of that riff raff in sask!!

I would stay away from him for awhile...

Of course it is.

And the consequences would be a long prison term.

Richard

I can't imagine its legal . . .

Rape..is.illeagal.almost.everywhere..
but.yes.it.is.illeagal.there.

Heres.a.question..
why would anyone want to
rape somoene and RUIN the other persons life..=/ It's so selfish of that person. Be careful what you post here. They may think you might attempt.

I am pretty sure its illegal... and the punishment is about the same as it would be in the US......

dude rape is illegal EVERYWHERE//// wtf .... n the consiquence is jail ... it should be de-attatchment of genitals ... but is jail

To answer you rquestion RAPE is ILLEGAL EVERYWHERE! To give advice, stay away from him as far as yuo can. I can't imagine why one might ask a question liek that even for curiosity. One would ask about other things i would imagine.

isnt rape illegal everywhere? its unlawful

you have serious issues buddy, its only fair to say that the act of rape is altogether illegal, whether by ethics or law, at any place, situation or time.

Rape is highly legal in Saskatchewan, provided that the assailant is over 21 and the victim is under 13. But only if you're white.

Bunch of answer about rape being illegal. I'm wondering if you stated question right. Perhaps you're both under 21( the way you asked seems like a young teenager) and friend was asking about statutory rape laws/age of consent in Canada and harassment laws for when he goes partying and starts to flirt and tries to solicit some consensual sex with a 17 year old, or maybe 16 year old- or as in Illinois solicits a 15 year old with a $100.00 bill for the night and she says yes. Or you could be a cruising troll out for a bit of reaction fun. Canadian Prostitution laws probably differ from US laws- some info floating around Internet indicates it is semi-legal--- discreet small whorehouses, individual workers can't do certain things to advertise in public but can indoors.

I don't think it is, you Canadians are pretty crazy.
But you should look it up before you start raping people.
