Do sexual harassment laws go too far? |
Do sexual harassment laws go too far? sexual harassment is a problem and the laws are a good thing...if there used maturally. no one should get fired for lets say patting someone on the back but yes we do need sexual harassment laws to keep things "under control". but maybe there can be added precautions to the punishment. I guess that depends on which end of the saw suit your on. Well i think it is very easy to abuse the system for very minor misunderstandings. No. They are there to protect victims of sexual harassment. Personally i think in some respects yes, as it is now possible for someone to be sacked for merely touching someone on the arm, however i think its essential these laws are in place to a reasonable extent at least. I know a businessman -- 100 employees -- who will not be alone in his office with a woman for fear of sexual harassment allegations. |
