How long does a sexual harassment case take? |
How long does a sexual harassment case take? For one that goals to trial and is settled without anyone appealing, 2 to 3 years. It depends on your proof or evidence. If it is even a little bit doubtful (if the person is your employer or a public figure) it could go on for a long time and you will wish you had just quit your job and found another one. Some people with a lot of money can do anything they want. It depends on where you're at in the process and where you live. Anywhere from 3months to 3years is the norm. It also depends on what has been plead and how "serious" the charges are (eg. someone touching your hand vs. someone being grossly inappropriate/vulgar/sexually assaulting someone) |
