What is your definition of sexual harassment?

Give me a brief summuary of what you think it is? in the sence to where someone won't stop or does it start when they frist say some thing to make you feel uncomfortable.

when you on a date and the boyfriend gets hot and feeling like he going to get something ,and you say no and he proceeds his act .This also works with the same sex ,or girl trying to proceed and the man says no..Girls ,and Guys No Means No

if you have to ask ? then you're not being harrassed...

anything that could be related back to anything sexual and it makes you uncomfortable. The first time it happens with a person, depending on the action, it can maybe be forgiven. However, if you tell them to stop, and they persist, it is definitely sexual harassment.

It depends on what is being said or done. It can definitely occur when they first say something and you feel uncomfortable, or if they say small so called "innocent" things all of the time.

The basic definition is something said that makes you feel uncomfortable.

If people at work make sexual comments or jokes around me, I consider them as harassment. First time, I will tell them to stop because I am not comfortable. If they continue, I report to the management. I think sexual harassment is not limited to sexual acts, but it can also be words.

Sexual harassment is legally confined exclusively to the workplace. It's a part of the claim for a "hostile work environment," which is a sexually charged atmosphere that's "extreme and pervasive." Sexual harassment may be one activity, but usually it's a pattern and practice of activities by one or more employees that an employer has turned a blind eye to.

Now, sexually charged activities outside of the workplace may be otherwise actionable (guy grabs your privates, you can sue him for battery; guy continually berates you and tells you you're worthless, you can sue him for intentional infliction of emotional distress; guy keeps sending you threatening e-mails, you can seek redress under a stalker statute) but people misapply sexual harassment (and workplace harassment in general) all the time.
