How would i go about reporting a statutory rape and sexual harassment case? |
i was not involved but i have friends who were and they know people who were. the older man is in his mid-to-late-20s and he's the coach of a high school rowing team. i have 2 friends on the rowing team. one was harassed by him and he tried to go out with her. the other actually had sex with him. (they're both 15 btw) the friend who was harassed also wants to report it btw. Call the police before he does it to someone else. It is statutory rape because a 15-year old is a minor and cannot legally consent to sexual intercourse. The rowing coach will be arrested. Only the party actually involved or their parents/guardians can file a charge; you can report the incident to the police and see if they wish to pursue it. Call the cops / have your friend do so and report the sick pervert predator coach! This hopefully will keep him from preying on other kids. Peace call the police The only way to deal with this is to first call the police. Then they will follow up and see if indeed charges need to filed against this person. first, you have to tell the victims to report it. you need their testimony. further, they should tell the school the guy works at immediately if true and the police By law, if you know of or even suspect the sexual abuse of a minor your are required to report it to Child Protective Services. This keeps you from dealing with the police. The people he harassed should report the abuse to a trusted adult. The first thing tomorrow morning, go to you local district attorney's office. Tell them what you know, and they will investigate. Do not go to the school officials, they may want to brush you off. |
