How do I get my boss to lay me off?

Im a care-aide that works weekends at a house for a guy with MS. Ive had it up to here with his sexual harassment. Hes given me a letter of reference so I know he wont fire me as I do a good job. I dont want to quit as I wont get U.I. What should I say or do to get laid off? Im in B.C. canada.

Sexual harrassment is the best reason to quit.

Obviously you are not looking to file charges, or else your question would have been more geared toward that option.

If you aren't happy, leave. It really is that simple. You already have the letter of recommendation, so what are you waiting for?

Getting laid off is basically the same as getting fired...and it looks better on your resume if you quit rather than get fired.

Quit and find another job. Wanting to get laid off makes me think that you don't want to work and would rather be on the dole.
