What is it about men in the work place that gets me steamed? |
There is this guy at work, that is constantly coming on to the women in this company. One day while in my office he insinuated that my lips were DSL's and then another day while he told me to go lower with my arm while he was bending down while I was sitting in my chair. Now, would these comments be considered sexual harassment? Also, has anyone on Answers been sexually harassed and if so, what did you do about it? Thanks Yes... the pervs think its okay because it's not an actual slap on the tush. They make me sick... and there are more of these pigs in places of business than I want to count. yes its sexual harrassment~ it is sexual comments that offend you~ speak up & say something~ im sure the other women would back you up YES... Sexual Harrassment.. Yes, that IS definitely sexual harassment! I would report him to a superior, or contact a hotline (check on google for those depending on which state you live in). You shouldnt have to put up with that at work. Best of luck to you, friend! Yes, those comments are sexual harrassment. If I were you, the next time he makes those comments to you, you should inform him that it is sexual harrassment and the next time he says anything like that to you you will go to his boss and human resources. Hopefully that will shut him up. If it doesn't you need to follow up on the threat. Good luck. wow. I think you need to make a written complaint immediately to your boss and his boss. This will usually stop the activity. This is sexual harassment, no question about it. If you don't get results, the company will have a huge problem, but only if informed of the problem. If you have a formal complaint procedure with the company, make sure to do that also. If you don't, you might have other problems. This is most definitely sexual harassment - and you should stop it now! I went through a sex. harassment case just earlier this year, but my offender committed a crime against me, and I am having the county press charges . . . stop it now before it gets to the point that I am at! Sexual harassment doesn't have a specific definition. If he's making you uncomfortable with sexual comments and touching you inappropriately, then speak up. Tell him to knock it off, and if that doesn't work, tell your boss. |
