15 year old tried as adult?

Theres a guy who has about 14 felony charges against him. They include rape (3rd degree), sexual assault, batter, harassment, stalking, terroristic threat of many counts, and possibly conspiracy. These all count multiple times, for he did this to not one, but THREE girls. Then there's stuff with drugs and robbery. Also, he's only 15 years old. The grand jury accapted the case, and they're thinking of trying him as an adult. How much time ( a good estimate ) do you think he'd get?

This sounds like someone who is a very dangerous criminal.

Our society needs to be protected from dangerous violent criminals.

This person is probably too dangerous and destructive for Juvenile Hall. He needs to be in the adult prison system.

Based on the information that you have given me, it will probably never be safe to permit this person to return to a life with the general public.

This is the kind of person that prisons were made for.

This person should never get out of prison. He will never be safe around members of the general public.

He will be put away for a long long time. Look at the bright side, he will be real popular in prision.

Life + 30

does he have priors?
might get a plea bargin if he has a clean record and his age
if not then i would think nothing more than ten be out in three if good behavior
peace

If he is convicted on all charges and bypassing any mitigating factors, this child tried as an adult would get in excess of 30 years, but given what he is charged with I would think a plea agreement would be offered. That could range significantly and depends on the state he is in and the prosecution.

he must be treated as an adult and must be punished for what he has done.

Sounds like a mature fifteen year old. I don't know why he got away with all the crimes he has committed. If one of the three victimised girls was my daughter or granddaughter, I would hunt this fifteen year old down and shoot him right between the headlights. Then I'll be glad to spend his jail time for him.

I think it depends in which state you live he would get a number of years on each charge, then the judge can decide if they run concurrently or consecutively. As an example if each charge carried a term of 10 years, that would be 140 years if he had to serve them consecutively, if he were allowed to serve them concurrently he would only serve 10 years.

I doubt that any length of time in jail would rehabilitate this kid it sounds like he has some very serious social problems.
