Harassment. How should I plead?

I have an arraignment coming up for harassment and can plead guilty, not guilty or no contest. If I think I am innocent what should I plead?
A guy at a concert was aggressively getting in my face about my chihuahua and I kept backing up while he was shouting he was going to get security, but then the third time he approached within inches of my face, I pushed him back and then he went to go get security. Does that sound like harassment?
Would it be easier just to plead no contest? Would I still have to go to court?

Plead Not Guilty and get a Public Defender.
If your story is complete then you should be able to walk. Explain that you feared for your safety and claim self defense. You did retreat twice.
Who charged you with Harassment? If they were serious you should have been charged with Assault.
A word of advice...Don't take your chihuahua to any more concerts.

It's always easier to plead no contest.. But it still means you admit guilt and it will go on your record.

If you plead Not Guilty, you will have to get an attorney and it won't be cheap. The case could go on for a few years...

I'm just wondering why you didn't get security the second time he got into your face rather than allowing a third time to even happen.

And it doesn't sound like harassment, it became intentional assult when you pushed him..You're lucky they are not going after you for that.

Personally I'd plead Not Guilty, ask for trial by jury and hope you can find witnesses to testify on your behalf.

You should plead not guilty. If you tell the story as you did here, and have witnesses to corroborate it, you will get off. What happened was the guy committed an assault, and you defended yourself. You will have to go to court if you plead not guilty. You should have a Lawyer, they will give you a public defender if these are criminal charges.

btw:
Why for the love of god would you bring a Chihuahua to a Concert? It would be dangerous for the dog.

I agree with the person above - plead not guilty

get a attorney and take it to court - I wonder if the guy and the security staff will want to appear in court? If not, you will likely be off "scott free" - even if they do, you may be able to plead it down to something else more minor - do not plead no contest unless you want the record

go to court, you were defending yourself from an imminant threat. Is this a civil matter? I can't see the DA charging you, so I'm guessing he is suing you in civil court. I would expect the judge to toss this one, but you never know. If this is a criminal matter, the DA must have seen something more than you are telling us about. What have they told you about the case against you?

It sounds like he was harrassing you as well. I would get a lawyer and please not guilty. Although that fact the you put your hands on him, that's bad, so get a good lawyer. I've actually pushed someone in a similar sitution but she didn't call the cops so I lucked out.

You should plead not guilty and get a lawyer. No contest will be same on your record as guilty.

Do not plead guilty or no contest unless it is okay with you that you have a criminal record.

wait he's bringing up charges because you pushed him? either ur not telling the whole story or something is very wrong with the world today. plead not guilty and tell him to man up

more like a chiwah-wah!! sorry, i just had to family guy it...
