Store calls security on me while i try on clothes in the dressing room?

yesterday i went to a store and i saw some vests that i wanted to try on and i told the sales associate that i wanted to try them one and she counted the vest i held in my hand and she was looking at me really funny after i tried them on i gave them back to her and she was still giving me a funny look and when i left the store a security guard came up to me and asked me to come with him and i asked him what was the problem and he walked up to the store i went too and spoke to the sales associate who was at the dressing room and i asked her why did you call the security guard on me did you think i was shoplifting and she didnt say anything the another sales associate said we saw a tag drop on the floor when you were leaving and she say maybe it was from you or someone else . I demanded the sales associate to apologize to me because i didn't steal anything and she didnt even bother to apologized instead.
the guard and the associate apologized to me. i think that sales associate call the guard on me simply out of spite she saw me give her 3 items to try on and i gave her back the 3 items after i tried them on, i have no idea why she did that and i had a much similar incident happened to me at costco a few months ago.
i told my mother what happened and she said i should speak to the manager and she also said thats the world that we live in and she thinks that the associate did that because of my race and because of the shoplifting rate

yes i yelled at the clerk and demanded that she apologized and i just wrote a letter of complaint all i have to do is talk to a manager and i'll se what goes from there

I've had that happen a couple of times. It's really insulting, but there isn't much to be done about it. If associates were punished for making a mistake, they would hesitate to call security on actual shoplifters, just in case they were wrong.

You can demand all the apologies you want, but all she did was call security to investigate because of a tag that was dropped. They investigated and nothing came of it. The clerk did nothing wrong. Had she arrested you on her own authority you might have something to complain about but there is nothing wrong in asking security folk to find out why a tag was on the floor near where you were trying on clothes. In fact, that was the clerk's duty. Don't like stores that investigate things? Then don't shop there.

OH! one of those color things eh!!!! Talk about being embarassed! I would have told the lot of them, they would be hearing from my attorney!! You actually left the store! WOW!!! You should have got the Police involved in this! Now you only have their word against yours! Anyway, if I was your Mom, I would write a scalding letter to the owners of the store, saying, NOW, you are too petrified to enter another store for fear this should happen again! You are tramatized!! Don't be too eager to judge people by their color or race! Sock it to them girl! I wouldn't take that crap from anyone!! Good luck and God Bless!
