UK Security Agencies and Judicial System - Hopelessly prejudice and out of touch?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7605583.st...

Eight men were tried before a jury - none were found guilty all the charges raised against them.

Three were found guilty of very serious charges, four on lesser charges, and one found not-guilty of anything.

In the UK a jury of your peers decide on the evidence - but the securiy services and the prosecution service were sure that all would (and should) be found guilty of all the charges.

The security services and prosecution service have been PROVED to be wrong about the quaility of the evidence collected.

They blokes may all be terrorist nutters targeting planes (so may you for all I know), but no evidence was produced to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

How could the security services/prosecution service be so wrong?

It happens.

You never know what evidence will be thrown out or how the Judge or jury will see the importance of something.

If police were right 100% of the time, we wouldn't need trials - you'd just go to jail and stay there.
