What kind of lawyer do I need to have to have someone declared legally incompetent? |
A veteran accused of owing repayment on pension fund money they paid out when he had no income is going to be forced to repay that money out of his social security. They are trying to take most of his surviving income to repay this because they believe he had additional financial resources when he was actually destitute. He is nearly mentally incompetent and cannot perform many simple tasks or effective communication with anyone. How do we get him declared legally incompetent and what can we use for his defense against having them take his social security money? I am not a lawyer but if you want to see if you have a case, go here http://locate-lawyer.info/ the site is a free meeting point, lawyers get their work there. Just post your case, if someone thinks it's worth it they'll come forward, it's free. The incompetent part can be best handled by a psychiatrist, if the person is a vet then they are entitled to free care, statements by two doctors would be enough to have this person declared incompetent, an attorney practicing civil law would have all of the knowledge and resources to provide council, probably one who specializes in Social Security cases would be the most knowledgeable related to SS matters but any lawyer who handles civil cases could handle the case, go to (lawresearch.com) and they have a lawyer referral service for your area and all areas of expertise.~ |
