Am I suppose to get my Social Security Card back?

I worked at a fast food place for about 4 months before i quit that job because i was moving to another city. Is my manager suppose to give me back my photo copied Social Security Card back or are they suppose to keep it? (I have the actual copy of the social security card. The one i gave them was a photo copied one).

They are supposed to copy your original card and give your card right back to you. They can keep the copy in their records even after you no longer work there.

They must retain the copy in their records. Additionally, even if you got the copy back, they would still have your SSN; it is required for tax forms they submit concerning your employment.
