What do you think about someone threatning someone about their ssi check? (Read details)?

Ok my friend draws ssi because of their nerves and chronic pain anyways someone close to their circle told her guy friend that she was going to turn her in because she has a myspace page..lol so dumb...She thinks you cannot be smart and draw a check, i mean come on a myspace page...I know if that person called in on her for that the social security office would laugh but what do you think about this?

This person is completely disabled. I have plenty to do, don't you? Aren;t you on yahoo answers too? So why are you talking about me?

I think Larry E should become disabled and find out what it is like. People that draw disability are DISABLED OR THEY WOULDN'T BE GETTING THAT MONEY. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT JUST GIVE YOU A CHECK TRUST ME IT TOOK ME FIVE YEARS TO GET MY DISABILITY AND I AM DISABLED NOT JUST SITTING AROUND BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO WORK. I think that those people are ignorant and need to find something better to do than report disabled people for real. And so what she has a myspace page.

No i dont think theres nothing wrong with receiving ssi and having a myspace page ,is not like your friend is actually making money out of it...tell her not to listen to the morons and idiotic comments they say ,perhaps they are all jealous of her and they have nothing else to say but just scare her...tell her to tell those people to f*ck off her business and to suck a lemon...

I get SSI and work part time, also. My doctor won't let me work full time. People drawing SSI are not stupid, I am considered a high functioning person, I even drive. Maybe, if your friend is bored, she can get a job of volunteering or working. The only downfall to working, is that SS takes 50% of my gross pay. Also, if your friend is behind in any bills, legally she cannot be sued, only the government can take SSI to pay if owed. Plus, SS checkes approx. every 3 years to see if you still qualify for SSI.

I think too many people are drawing SS when they are more than capable of working. Hey MS m are you saying there are no people drawing SS that don't deserve it. Some people do but you are ignorant if you think all people drawing it deserve it. Wake up.

If your friend has a valid reason for being on SSI then it is not necessary for the other person to report her.Some people feel a disability is not real unless it involves a limitation they can see with their eyes ( being blind,paralyzed etc.) People are seldom sympathetic towards people who have mental health or emotional problems.The last I heard people who are on SSI are allowed to have some sort of entertainment whether it is whether it is reading, renting a video or a myspace account.Did the nosy friend stop and think that the lady may be using a library computor and they are free to use as long as you have a library card.I have a saying for this busy body and people like him. " They can't mind their own busines because they are too busy minding someone else's."
