Worried Somebody Stole My Identity.?

I went to get brake pads on my car today and when I got my car back, I noticed there was a piece of paper that I had in my car and forgotten about with my social security number on it and it was up in the seat where it had not been prior to me going to get my brakes fixed. I did see a few people working on my brakes at one time and I am worried one of them may of copied it. I had got that paper when I needed a SS number for a job I was applying for and they said they couldn't give me a card anymore, but instead gave me a sheet to verify to the employers what my SS number was. Should I be worried?? and what should I do if it is true??

Yes. Go to annualcreditreport.com, and go to all three of the credit reporting bureaus and put a hold on any new credit from you for a while.

They'll report back if someone tries to get a credit card, etc. in your name. They'll keep it from getting approved.
