Can i sue if an employee from soc sec office took my cell num from a form i filled out & sent dirty text

it was sexually explicit and offensive. he also called and left a voicemail. it feels weird and i dont know if i feel so safe now. if i tell he may have my info written down. who knows what he will do. if i brush him off he could mess with my social security somehow.

someone asked how i know it was from the ssi office....the guy had the nerve to actually say on the text....this is the guy from the ssi office. besides that, no one knew i was going to the office today. and on top of that he left a voicemail from the same number also stating things that happened at the office made comment about my picture on my drivers liscence

Social Security is run by our government. He is representing our government. Go in and ask for the manager or call the social security office directly in your state and file a complaint. He is not allowed to mess with your social security. If he figures out that you are not going to do anything, he will continue to call and may have other information from that form on you. You're not safe even if you don't do anything. You're setting yourself up. Get in there on Monday and do something. Don't erase the voicemail and do not let anyone from the office take or touch your phone. They can listen to the message on speakerphone if needed. Get in there and don't be afraid.

For one, what proof do you have that the person from social security office took your number out of a form that you filled out?

Secondly, what proof do you have that you did not give the telephone number to this person?

If you contact the police, they will want to know what the proof is. If a report is taken, the police or a detective will contact this person and more than likely, this person will say you gave him the telephone number.

I don't know if you can sue. I know you can do the right thing, and call the police, take the time to report this perv and clean up the system. It's illegal for this government employee to reach out to you this way.

Ask yourself this,,, If he'll do that with the private info in your file, what else is he doing with the info in the files of other people?

That person violated government policy and should be terminated.
You must report this incident to police, to have it on record should that person stalk you.
The government is responsible for safeguarding your personal information - you should have a chat with the branch director. Don't go alone, bring a witness.

how do you know its from the soc security office?
maybe its one of your friend plying a joke on you?
do you have any proof its from social, secuirty office
as if you go the police they will ask you that)
(I doubt cause government workers dont have to do this type of stuff)

you can sue that employee for misusing your number for sending you dirty messages.just give a official compliant to soc sec office and to law house about it as soon as you can. Also mention that he may use your social security number

you should really call the police about that. no one who works in social security should be that irresponsible.
or at least tell his manager at the office.
if you get that guy fired, i personally thank you on behalf of my own social security

I would definately go to the police. Do not delete the text or the voicemail that he sent. Maybe you can spend the night at a family members house or a friends. How sad and scarey. I wish you the best on this.

Save your calls, show them to the police. Tell them what is happening & they can advise you. They will probably put a trace on your phone, you have to prove that this is being done by the person you think is doing it.

Something like this happens, and your mind immediately turns to suing someone? Please. Find some other way to make money. Report this person, get him fired, and be done with it.

Report this loser to the authorities...if he did it to you, he has done it to someone else. Also inform your cell phone company they may file separate charges because this is a felony

Sexual harassment.

Report it IMMEDIATELY and keep the text and voice mail as evidence

No, but you can get the person fired.

Instead of sueing, I would get the police involved. This is an attack, and your life could be in danger.

Yes, you should get the police involved.

report it to the police.

helllllll yeah
sue them and this should involve police A.S.A.P!

ya, make a police report.

send them an email but with the boss's email, but try to impersonate the boss, make em scared of you!
