Where in the constitution does it say that the Bill of Rights is only applicable below a certain altitude? |
I read the entire constitution several times and I can't find the altitude limitation. I am sick of this airline security BS. I have a God-given right to bear arms for my own protection and the government has no right to take that away. What makes them think that they can take our guns away just because we are boarding an airplane? Would they have the right to say that black people can't board airplanes because the constitution doesn't apply at over 10,000 feet above sea level? Where is the NRA on this one? The airlines is not taking away your right to "bear arms". They are just telling you that you can't do it on their airplanes. If you don't like the airlines rules, don't fly. The right to own a weapon to protect self really comes under what is commonly called 'natural law.' Yes you can have gun to protect yourself. Having the ability to carry this gun wherever you like is not a right. It is not in the Constitution. why is this a problem for you? what advantage do you get by having a firearm in a pressurized aluminum tube five miles above the ground? you should look into Enzyte maybe? Its not your airport, or your airplane. I'm pretty sure it doesn't mention altitude anywhere in there. Supreme Court has said that the govt can limit const. rights if the govt. law passes certain tests requiring them to show the goal they are trying to meet balanced against the const. right infringed upon. There are several of these tests determined by the nature of the const. right, but I'm guessing since 9/11 the govt is not going to have to try very hard to keep guns out of planes. No court is going to throw a law like that out. And the leaders of the NRA are up in first class with champagne and big cushy leather seats. And the right to bear arms IS in constitution, not natural law. It's the 2nd Amendment. Supreme court just struck down D.C.'s ban on weapons as a violation of the 2nd amendment |
