Social security thing for non US resident?

ok..well im not a us citizen or resident( I live outside of america), but im planning on going to college there for the fall semester of 2009...welll anyway i know u need to have a social security number to apply for any american university...
so how do i get one if im not actually IN the country?

You can get the form on line. Fill it out and just follow the directions. Google "social security administration".
