Is a print out the same as an offical document?

for a social security card... i have to get one and turn it into the sheriff's station, so i can become a sheriff. and i have tried looking for my social, and i cannot find it... and i was wondering if i go get a print out, if it would be the same...

No, you can't just make a copy and turn it in. But you can go down to the social security office in your county and request an official copy of your social security card.

A copy of you social security card on file is sufficent for your employer. They have to have it along with your driver's license or a valid state ID card.

But you must have a copy of the card itself, a print out with a social secuirty number, will not suffice.

You can contact the Social Security Administration herehttp://www.ssa.gov/ if you need to have a new card issued to you.

Absolutely NOT. NO copy of your Social Ssecurity Card will be accepted anywhere
