I keep setting off those store security detectors... why? |
i'm not stealing anything. I set them off when I WALK IN. I'm used to it now.. .but omg... i'm afraid that they'll come and pat me down.... Those security detectors are very poorly made, and tend to go off for a lot of people. When it happens, you are not required to stop. If they pat you down, stop you or in any way touch you, without evidence that you boosted something, sue them for assault, false imprisonment and anything else your lawyer can add. Cell phones have been known to set the alarms off on occasion. The same thing happened to me. At first I thought it was something I was wearing, then i thought my shoes, wallet etc. None. I even called a manufacturer of the security devices, they said if I did not have one of their chips the alarm should not go off. maybe some of your clothing still contains one of those security sensors that the stores bury in their clothing? Each time this happens do you have a common element (i.e., are you always carrying the same purse, etc.)? If yes, perhaps there's a security tag on it that wasn't taken off when you bought the item. Sometimes they're not in the obvious spots or are tiny. Have you recently bought a new wallet? This has happened a few times to myself and some people I know. There's a thing like, hidden in there that sets off sensors all of the time you got a sensor somewhere on you. clean out your purse and see if there is anything in there that contains a sensor in it. |
