A woman security person at my work scans me a bit too close for my liking, then after she frisks!!?


At my work they have a stricked rule that you are not to wear jewellery or anything with a lot of metal.
She uses a hand machine scanner to do a once over to check that we are not walking out with stolen goods. The scanner would pick this up. but lately she has been scanning so close shes actually brushing the scanner up against us. this is making me uncomfortable for starters. But then after scanning and finding nothing she then proceeds to frisks us. Is that legal? Is she allowed to just frisk us right after scanning? I thought that if you are scanned and there was something beeping that you couldn't exactly show where the beeping was coming from only then were they allowed to frisk. I'm thinking of taking this up with her manager and HR about this as a lot of the woman staff are getting very uncomfortable about this.

Yes you need to get information from HR in writing, explaining the policy and procedure of this security policy. If she is being overzealous in her duties, the procedure manual should make that fairly clear.

Does she sniff the scanner when she is done? LOL
Some people take their job too seriously. Maybe she has been told to do this by her supervisor, it may not be her fault. Then again, maybe she enjoys her work a little too much.

I'd wait till she produces a strap-on; then PANIC !!
