Can A Co-defendant be seperated and judged seperately? Also can one object to questions on interrogatories? |
This is in the California Superior Court. My father is listed as a co-defendant and is representing himself. His ex-employee made loans that were not done for his company. On paper as of last August it looks like he has some assets but he lost his house and his company. The main defendant is not being gone after but my father is answering interrogatories that are asking about where every penny of his is. A important note is that he has answered all of the current questions but they keep reasking questions. Can these things be dealt with if there is a guilty judgment? As it is they have already tried to attach my assets to the case. At this point he is on Social Security and living in an apartment. I have tried contacting legal aid but have had no luck on his behalf. Answers are appreciated! He is currently a Florida resident. If they are asking new questions, he has to keep answering them unless they are being asked merely to harass and annoy him. If that is the case, he needs to ask the court for a protective order to stop them from asking endless questions. |
