My employer still hasn't asked for a copy of my ID and Social ... what should I do?

I work for a small clothing store in the mall. My manager is young and completely unprofessional. I started working there on July 10th and have worked there for 3 days since then. But she still hasn't asked to see my ID and social security card, let alone get a copy. What should I do? Pay day is this Thursday and I should have 4 hours on that paycheck, but im a little worried since she doesnt have that info.

Plus, I don't have anyone elses information that is at a higher position than her, like the owner. How do I go about getting the owners information and complaining about this manager? She also isnt training me right, and after 4 hours of experience left me to run the store by myself for 3 hours... so thats why I say she is unprofessional.

I have completed a W-4 form, but no ID nor SS card was asked for.

If you know who prepares the Payroll - ask them how come no one has asked that you complete
a W-4? If you can not find out who that is - say to your Manager - "Please let me have a W-4 form so that I can complete it before payday."

It is on you to get that information to her. You bring it up; it is your check that won't be written without it.
Why would you interview for a job knowing you were working for someone who is so upprofessional?
How do you know you are being trained improperly? Did you write the training manual after only 3 days on the job?
If it is a small store and you are in anyway competent to upbraid the training you are getting; then you should be able to handle running a small shop. How is she going to find out if you are a quick study or a plodder if she doesn't let you fly a little while the Christmas season is still a while off?
Work for her for a year and then form an opinion about why you are not the boss.
there must be a reason she is the manager.
Age should have nothing to do with how you rate someone's professional demeanor.
I am 63 and I have worked for many bosses quite a bit younger than me with no trouble.
I can learn from someone younger than me just as well as someone senior to me.

I wouls just flat out ask her.

you can either ask her about your paycheck coming up. you don't have to be confrontational about it, just say that your curious how it works since the store doesn't have your imformation.

or,

you could ask her for the information for the owners. you don't have to tell her WHY, if she insists on an answer, just tell her you'd like to have it in case of emergancies.

but, honestly, maybe you should just wait. keep track of how many hours you've worked, and if payday rolls around and you don't get paid, than bring it up, don't be afraid to stick up for yourself.

good luck
