Does anyone know how to find someone who doesn't want to be found?

I need to find someone without using a private detective, or being scammed out of my money on the internet. I have an address and telephone number that was correct until at least February 2008. The telephone is disconnected with no additional information.

The person may or may not have moved but lived in an apartment building with security.

I do not, at this time, for a number of reasons, wish to have face to face contact. I want to know where this person is, not contact them.

Any ideas?

Fortunately, I am not a stalker, as I would be a total failure if I were! (LOL)

The person actually worked at the apartment building that they last lived in (or are still living in) and the employees there will not give out any information for "legal" reasons. They will not even verify if the person still lives there or not. The phone company does not have any new phone numbers, nor does "Dex Knows" "The White Pages" or any other free web site I have found. I have paid a one time fee on one of the "people searches" on the internet, only to find out I had much more current information than they did.

Be careful as you may come of as a stalker lol

Try contacting the old house's landlord or the new owners and they may have been given a forwarding address so that mail to the person your trying to find actually reaches them. Same with the telephone number, the company that provided that service may still be giving your friend that service. Call the company and try to squeeze out from them the new address; say your a girlfriend or something lol
