Medical assistance/medicaid?

When I first applied to get medicaid, they gave me the option of 3 different companies to choose from (united, priority partners, or amerigroup) and they gave me a number to call when I decided which company I wanted to go with. I called my doctor, and asked him which one's he took, and he said that he only took united and amerigroup. So, I called back and told them that I wanted to go with amerigroup. they said that was fine, and they put it in the system. it's been 3 weeks, and the process is finally complete, and i got my card in the mail, but on the card it says priority partners. i called the medicaid office back to tell them that they made a mistake, and they said that someone physically went into their office and said they were me, and told them that they wanted priority partners. i absolutely know for sure that i didn't do it, and the only way someone would be able to do it is with my social security number. i'm not really too worried about the company at this point, i'm scared

that someone is stealing my identity. but, i really don't understand why they would steal it for medicaid, it doesn't make any sense to me. anyone know what happened, or what i can do to stop it?

You might want to go ahead and go to your local police department and state you want to file something because you are a victim of identy theft due to these circumstances and see if that works.

Many undocumented immigrants would like to have the chance to get medicaid and having information like that would benefit them if they are parading that they are you.
