is it possible to collect unemployment and social security at the same time after being fired from a job?

is it possible to collect unemployment and a pension from another company that i previously worked for you at the same time?

Basically, after being fired i am thinking of retiring and just seeing what my best options are. Thanks!

Since you usually can only collect State Unemployment Insurance for six months, I would collect unemployment and after it runs out then file for your pension and Social Security.

I don't think so but I could be wrong. I know if you're collecting social security and you work for more than (I think or it used to be) $3,000 a year, they will take that much from your SS check.
