Do You Get Paid For Orientation? |
If you sit in an Orientation watching videos and filling out paperwork, do they have to pay you for that? I live in PA. It was for a security company I just started working for. They didnt pay me?! 3 hours of the videos! I got paid for my training. It all depends on the company I've been there and they'll told me that watching videos isnt actually working - i know stupid waste of time. i now work for a bank and they pay for me to read for 2 months (8 hrs a day) to get my state and national securities lic. (selling stock) Some places pay you. If you are in a training course to certify you for something, you probably won't. They should let you know beforehand. If I were you, I would ask. My company pays for it. It's considered an investment in their employee. I believe you're supposed to. I've been trained for two jobs and was paid for both trainings. |
