I have no birth certificate and desperately need one to work to provide to do things what can i do help me?

I believe I was born at home I was home schooled have no social security I am American not an immigrant but its very hard to find anyone to help me get identification I'm 20 years old and no id I need help someone help me plus domestic violence is in my past regarding my father

I was homed school to the person who asked that and I was not claimed on any taxes to the other person

I would suggest that you contact your local Secretary of State's office and ask for instructions, first. Explain the situation to them, and ask them what to do.

Dude, I don't believe you. Even if you were home schooled you still had to meet the requirements of your local school district so where are those records. How did you get drivers license?? SS card?? Have you registered for the draft as required?? I hope you didn't wrap the fish in good paper because you story sure does stink.

You need to file paperwork with the state you were born in to get a birth certificiate for starters. Then you can apply for a SSN. How did you even attend school without that documentation, it's required by law.

I seriously doubt the validity of this. Your parents would need you to have a SS number to claim you for taxes. This would require a birth certificate.

Call city hall in the city you were born in and ask them if they have you registered. If they don't, ask them what is your next step in registering yourself.

You need to go to the Dept Of Records. Your Mother if alive will also need to go. It will make the process faster. It will be hard though.
