Parking ticket at macdonalds!!? |
i was in macdonalds and came out to find a ticket on my screen for 拢70.50. It was issued by a private security firm. The reason for my ticket was that i had over stayed by 5 mins. Its a 90 min max. Do i have to pay this, who can i complain to? I have written to the company but they are not interested...i was wondering if there was a higher authority who you can write to. Got one myself ,took it back in the place and told them to shove it where their fu*+ing big mac was going to come out off in a few hours time.Dont worry about it you will get a few letters just chuck em in the bin. While their sending you letters its costing them money.Or write back and tell them you are going to see a solicitor about extorsion and harrasment charges. They have no legal right to charge you anything You complained to the company, but they did everything that they were employed to do. If they issued you a ticket after only 30 minutes, then you could complain to them for not following the stated 90 minimum allotted time. Sorry but its too bad, we have a radio consumer show here in Luton and this has come up 4 or 5 times. there is a sign stating allowed times and a camera takes your licence plate no' and your logged in. So far neither Mac's nor the clampers have backed down as they say 90 mins is plenty of time to eat a burger. Its no consolation but 1 driver was given a ticket when he was haveing a nap in the car after he finished his meal. don't pay it. you don't have to. its all ball ****. the law is on your side. there is a web site(cant remember what is called) that explains it. its no different from you putting a ticket on someones car, and if they pay it ,more the fool them. Ouch!! They really SUPERSIZED that ticket!! I'd question how valid a ticket issued by a private company is. I might even ignore it. Failing that, complain to MacDonald's. I hardly think they'd want to lose business over something like this. Go back and look at any designated signs and see what they say. Bummer, if you can't get out of it, go to the manager of MCYD's and see if they can help.???? Tell them to stick it unless they can provide irrefutable evidence that your car was there during the period stated. If there was a visible sign stating the parking regs then i dont think you have a case. If you were in McDonalds eating their food I think this is most unfair. I suppose they want you to eat up and get out - what a message to give to customers! All the details should be on the fine itself. I dont think they will cancel it because its the same rule for everyone. who needs A McLawsuit? it seems very unnecessary. |
