Security Clearance, drug usage, number of times?

I'm submitting forms for Top Secret clearance, and I am curious regarding the drug usage information. I've been informed to be a as truthful as possible, however I've been told by third parties that should your drug history be under 6 or 10 times, that it shouldn't be included.

My usage was once, and I intend to list this, however what is the accuracy of this rumored "# of times" exemption and will listing prior drug use ruin my odds of gaining clearance?

An additional question: Can I gain clearance even with this information of 1 (one) prior drug use history, and can I gain this clearance without accepting the job I am interviewing for should I be offered it.

Regardless if you tell or don't tell they will find out. Be honest with the questions, maybe that information was given to a past interviewee for his knowledge.
