I am being evicted am ientitled to my security back?

I have only been living in my apartment for 1 month and the land lord is evicting me my rent is current he says it is because of non payment and his mers. license is in jeoperdy because i have had police at my house a few times for domestis problems ect. my rent was paid a few days late but he filed the eviction the day after my rent was due im in new jersey does he have to return my security deposit?

yes, your are due your security back. If you don't get it write him a letter, give him 10 to reply, and then file a small claim action.
